Malik Williams, Jordan Nwora, and Darius Perry see their rankings rise in ESPN’s top 100

NCAA Basketball: Louisville at Georgia Tech Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The Cards got a bit of a ratings boost to three of their four signees in the ESPN top 100 rankings today. Malik Williams, Darius Perry, and Jordan Nwora all saw their rankings bump up in the network’s recruiting services.

Starting off with the highest rated among the group is Malik Williams, an incoming freshman center from Fort Wayne, Indiana, who committed to Pitino and the Cards back in August. He is the highest rated signee in ESPN’s top 100 for Louisville, coming in at #29. He held offers from local Big Ten programs Michigan State, Indiana, and Purdue, but made the wise decision to show-off his talents in the more competitive ACC.

The next highest ranked player is guard Darius Perry. Coming to Louisville from Powder Springs, Georgia, Perry saw his rankings move up to #51 on the list, two spots up from his previous ranking. Perry joined Williams in committing to U of L just a couple of weeks after Malik committed in August.

The final 2017 signee to see his name in the top 100 is forward Jordan Nwora, who comes in at #87.

Fellow 2017 classmate Lance Thomas is not listed in ESPN’s top 100 rankings, but is considered a composite 4-star recruit according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Thomas, Williams, and Perry signed with U of L on November 9th, while Nwora made his signing official just a couple of days later on the 11th.
