Louisville 59 Marshall 28 - Cardinals Blow Out the Herd, Hello Clemson Week

It was choppy at times, but Louisville pulled away from Marshall in the second quarter on the way to a 59-28 win. The win sets up next week's titanic matchup at Clemson for control of the ACC Atlantic.

It wasn't always pretty, but Louisville, as it has done all season, lit up the scoreboard en route to a 59-28 win at Marshall on Saturday night. With the win, Louisville improved to 4-0 on the season. Amazingly, Louisville 59 points are the fewest the Cardinals have scored in their four wins in 2016. Before the season started, Bobby Petrino said Louisville needed to get back to "lighting up the scoreboard". It's safe to say that, so far, they've reached that goal.

Lamar Jackson did nothing to hurt his burgeoning Heisman Trophy campaign. For the night, Jackson completed 24 of 44 passes for 417 yards and 5 touchdowns. On the ground, Jackson added 62 yards on 17 carries for 2 more touchdowns. At just 17 career games, Jackson is already climbing Louisville's career touchdown charts. He'll have another opportunity next week to make a national statement.

Most importantly, Louisville stayed undefeated and in contention for the College Football Playoff with a titanic matchup with Clemson coming a week from tonight.
