Thoughts: Paul is a local walk-on who I assume will be relegated to the practice squad at this point in his academic career. While I’m sure Paul is a great athlete it’s hard to imagine him cracking into the rotation at tight end in 2016 which includes Hikutini, Towbridge, Crum, and to some extent Charles Standberry. You could have two future NFL players in that group, so nothing to be ashamed of for sure.

Always nice to see the local prospects stay home and contribute to the growth of Louisville football where they can. Good luck to Paul this season and I hope he not only pushes the tight ends but the others around him as well to get better this season.

And because I’m a grown adult who has a college degree, a wife, two kids and currently live outside of the city I’ll refrain from any of the rudimentary high school trash talk…..
