Louisville hoped its "Light Up the 'Ville" camp would lead to a recruiting breakthrough and it has. After landing two defensive back commitments out of Florida, Louisville landed a commitment from Dorian Etheridge (6'3, 220), an excellent outside linebacker prospect and one of the top players in the state of West Virginia. Etheridge announced his commitment via a video that he Tweeted this morning.

Etheridge is a composite three-star prospect according to 247Sports rating system. They also rate him the #5 ranked player in the state of West Virginia for the class of 2017. According to his recruiting profile, Johnson picked Louisville over offers from Pittsburgh, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech. You can watch his highlight video below.
It's easy to see Etheridge with his frame and ability to pursue and shed blocks, grow into the ideal Grantham outside linebacker. He's Louisville's third commitment coming out of the Light Up the 'Ville camp and more than likely isn't the last we'll hear of in the coming hours and days. He gives Louisville 13 commitments for the class of 2017. Etheridge is one of the first prospects Lonnie Galloway's hiring as co-offensive coordinator has helped to secure. He won't be the last.
