Thoughts: Luke is another walk-on/practice player for the Cards, who’s been with the program a couple seasons now. All signs point to Luke getting the majority of his reps at guard while being here and we’re finally starting to get some depth at the position with Mahoni, Thomas, Hunter, and Chandler Jones. I wouldn’t anticipate Luke cracking the rotation frequently this year ,but stranger things have happened so I’m sure Coach K will have him primed and ready to roll if need be.
Maybe it’s just me, but I always find it to be pretty interesting when a small town kid earns a spot on the roster at Louisville. Luke is from Williamsburg, IA which according to my research has a population of around 3,100 people. Translation…when Luke steps into a capacity crowd at PJCS he’s looking at a group of people over 17 times larger than that of his hometown. Pretty cool.
Sweet Tweet:
This was actually retweeted by Luke….but hilarious none the less. All the scoreboard photos framed in Petrino's office is simply amazing. Most of you have heard the story about the 28-0 picture if you’re an old school Card Chronicle reader, if not, well…here ya go. Classic.
