While the UConn women's basketball team was making national headlines for its 60-point blowout of Mississippi State in the Sweet 16, the Louisville softball team was in the middle of a similar destruction of a major conference opponent over at Ulmer Stadium.
The Cards posted 15 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning against NC State Saturday afternoon in a frame that included multiple grand slams.

I'm not sure how many times this has happened in softball (or major conference collegiate baseball, for that matter), but you'd have to imagine it's a rarity.
The monster 3rd inning allowed Louisville to blow open a game they had led just 4-3. The Cards (22-8, 8-1 ACC) won the first two games of the series with NC State on Friday by a combined score of 22-10.
