Louisville's Myisha Hines-Allen named ACC Player of the Year

Louisville sophomore forward Myisha Hines-Allen has been selected as the 2016 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year by the league's Blue Ribbon Panel. North Carolina's Stephanie Watts was selected the ACC Freshman of the Year, while Notre Dame's Muffet McGraw earned ACC Coach of the Year honors.

A three-time ACC Player of the Week selection, Hines-Allen averages 17 points per game to rank fourth among conference scorers and is third in rebounding at 8.1 per game. The Montclair, New Jersey, native is shooting 54 percent from the floor and 77 percent from the foul line for seventh-ranked Louisville (24-6), which posted a 15-1 record in league play and enters the ACC Women's Tournament as the No. 2 seed.

The 6-foot-2 Hines-Allen has scored in double figures in 26 games this year while posting nine double-doubles. She has reached on topped the 20-point plateau in nine games.
