Join the U of L women's team for a Selection Monday party

The University of Louisville women's basketball team is marching toward its sixth-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, and fans are encouraged to join the Cardinals in watching the NCAA Selection Show on Monday at The Sports and Social Club.

Admission to the venue on 4th Street is free, and doors open at 6 p.m. Free parking is available at the 4th Street garage (access from 5th Street), and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Food and drink specials will be available for those wearing Louisville gear.

Music from DJ K-Dogg is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., and the show on ESPN starts at 7 p.m. Radio play-by-play voice Matt Andrews will host a question-and-answer session with head coach Jeff Walz during the show.

Louisville, heading into the NCAA Tournament for the 19th time in program history and eighth under eighth-year coach Walz, produced a 25-7 mark. The Cardinals posted a 15-1 league record, its second-most conference wins in school history, finishing second in the regular-season standings, and advanced to the ACC Tournament semifinal as the No. 2 seed.
