Unlikely heroes carry Louisville to 8th straight win over Pittsburgh

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

On a night where leading scorers Trey Lewis and Damion Lee were limited to a combined 13 points, Louisville found answers in the most unlikely of places to knock off Pitt for an 8th straight time and stay in the ACC title race with a 67-60 road victory.

David Levitch came off the bench to score eight huge points, including a 3-pointer in the game's final minutes that broke a 58-58 tie and put the Cardinals ahead for good. Deng Adel also turned in a second consecutive huge performance, carrying U of L offensively during the most critical stretch of the second half and finishing with 12 points to go along with seven rebounds.

He also did this:

It was pretty cool.

So was this:

As fun, exciting and entertaining as this night was, the "man, this is brutal" come down is always waiting right there afterward.

That being the case, here's a list of things that I would do every day for the next year if it meant that Louisville would get to play in the NCAA Tournament.

--Watch three full episodes of Sex and the City

--Eat no candy flavor other than banana

--Run at least one mile

--Listen to no fewer than five songs by artists I've never heard of but who teenagers are very into

--Compliment Brendan Fraser's acting ability on the radio (obviously, only doable on days in which I'm on the radio)

--Not make any DePaul jokes

--Tweet something nice to Dan Dakich

--Wear a suit and tie every time I write a blog post

If that isn't enough for you, NCAA, then I don't know what to tell you. Let the kids play. Punish me.

Here's your final box score:
