Louisville basketball schedule: ACC releases 2016-17 and 2017-18 conference opponents

Mark Dolejs-USA TODAY Sports

The 2015-16 basketball season hasn't come to a close, but Louisville now knows which conference opponents it will be hosting and which ones it will be facing on the road for the next two years.

Here's what the ACC has in store for the next two seasons:

2016-17
Home/Road: Pitt, Virginia, Syracuse, Notre Dame
Home: Miami, Clemson, Duke, NC State, Virginia Tech
Road: Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Boston College

2017-18
Home/Road: Pitt, Virginia, Florida State, Virginia Tech
Home: Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Boston College, Syracuse
Road: Miami, Clemson, Duke, NC State, Notre Dame

So Louisville will have mirror games with Virginia in each one of its first four seasons in the ACC, but will only get both Duke and North Carolina once in each of the next two years. It's also a bit surprising that the Cards won't go to Cameron again until 2018 considering that Duke came to the Yum Center in 2015.
