Citrus Bowl Odds: LSU an early 3-point favorite over Louisville

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Despite owning a better record and the likely Heisman Trophy winner at quarterback, Louisville is currently a 3-point underdog to LSU in early betting for the 2016 Citrus Bowl. The game opened as a pick 'em in Vegas, but the line quickly shifted in the direction of the Tigers.

If this line holds, it will mark the first time all season that Louisville has taken the field as an underdog.

U of L has failed to cover the spread in four of its last five games, including its final two games of the regular season, in which it lost outright as a 14-point favorite over Houston, and a 25-point favorite over Kentucky.

LSU, which is 7-4, is entering the bowl game coming off one of its most impressive performances of the season, a 54-39 road victory over Texas A&M. The Tigers covered the spread in four of their final five games of the regular season.
