While presumably out celebrating Lamar Jackson's Heisman Trophy coronation, Louisville football players Henry Famurewa and James Hearns were shot while attending a party at an off-campus location early Sunday morning. This according to a report from WDRB.
A third victim was also reportedly shot, but they have not been named. None of the individual's injuries are reported to be life-threatening.
Hearns, a junior linebacker, has had a monster season for the Cards in his first as a full-time starter. He leads the team with eight sacks and five forced fumbles, and is tied for the team lead with 11 tackles for loss. Famurewa, a sophomore reserve, has two sacks of his own and three tackles for loss.
More on this as more details emerge.
UPDATE: This sounds pretty in line with everything I know about Famurewa.
Students tell me they were celebrating @Lj_era8 's #Heisman victory at the apartments & Famurewa was trying to break up a fight. @WHAS11
