Kentucky Humane Society Puppy Pick 'Em Challenge: Week 12

New, 32 comments

Our winner last week did not claim his bounty, so we're carrying those prizes -- a $20 gift card to Fan Outfitters, a leap t-shirt, and a 93.9 The Ville koozie -- over to this week and tossing in a $25 Kroger gift card for good measure. With the Louisville-Houston game on the docket, the deadline to submit picks is tonight by 7:30 p.m.

A reminder that in order to enter the contest, all you have to do is pick a winner for each game (and a tiebreaker) either in the comments section of this post, or by emailing them to me at MikeR@espnlouisville.com. The winner has to beat all the other competitors as well as John, our puppy picker and myself. If there's a push, the prize package carriers over to the next week. One entry per person, and you have to be able to pick up the prize packages at the station (317 W. Cardinal Blvd).

Here are the games we're picking:

No. 5 Louisville at Houston (Thursday)
High School Game of the Week: Male at St. X (Friday)
Memphis at Cincinnati (Friday)
No. 11 Oklahoma State at TCU
No. 23 Florida at No. 16 LSU
Austin Peay at Kentucky
No. 22 Washington State at No. 10 Colorado
No. 24 Stanford at California
No. 9 Oklahoma at No. 14 West Virginia
Miami at NC State
No. 4 Clemson at Wake Forest
Virginia Tech at Notre Dame

TIEBREAKER: Number of points scored by Louisville

John, the Kentucky Humane Society puppy of the week and I will be making our picks during the second hour of today's R&R. For more information on the pet of the week and other adoptable pets, check out the Kentucky Humane Society website or visit one of their area locations.

Here are the overall pick 'em standings heading into week 12, featuring me falling off the pace thanks to a dismal 6-6 performance a week ago:

Puppy: 89-43

Mike: 87-45

John: 86-46

Happy picking.
