On the heels of his official visit to U of L this past weekend, four-star small forward Jordan Nwora (Vermont Academy, Buffalo) committed to play his college basketball for the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Nwora becomes the third player from the class of 2017 to commit to Louisville, joining power forward Malik Williams and point guard Darius Perry.

"I'm going to go to Louisville," Nwora told "On my visit I talked to coach [Rick] Pitino and coach [Kenny] Johnson, they were with me my whole visit. They just told me coming in as a freshman I can make a big impact and play a lot of minutes and score a lot of points, which is what I do.

"They said they have everything I need to get to the next level," Nwora said. "Being a hall of fame coach I know Pitino can get me to where I want to be in the long run. I feel like playing for him and coach

A 6'8 forward with a smooth outside shot, Nwora averaged 14.6 ppg this spring/summer while playing on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Here's Nwora in action during his junior season of high school ball.

Louisville still has its sights set on signing one more player from this 2017 class, so it'll be interesting to see how it unfolds.
