A similar announcement was made a week ago for Louisville's Oct. 22 game against NC State, which was ultimately picked up by ABC.
This will be U of L's first early start away from home this season. The Cards played a Friday night game at Syracuse in week two, and then had 8 p.m. starts for their consecutive road games against Marshall and Clemson.
Louisville and Virginia are tied at two in their all-time series, and have split their meetings as members of the ACC. The Cards lost to the Cavs in Charlottesville in 2014 by a final score of 23-21.
