The Louisville baseball team's 2016 television schedule was released Friday and includes 32 games on ESPN networks. The slate is highlighted by four appearances on ESPNU for the Cardinals, including an "ACC Monday" matchup against Virginia Tech at Jim Patterson Stadium on April 4.
Louisville has 22 games set for ESPN3, including 13 home games, as well as two games on the Regional Sports Network with both of those also available through ESPN3. Additionally, the Cardinals have four road games slated for SEC Network/SEC Network+ coverage.
Each of the first 14 games of the ACC Championship on May 24-29 in Durham, N.C., will be televised by the Regional Sports Network, while the ACC Championship title game on May 29 will be carried by ESPN2. All of Louisville's remaining 19 home games not selected for national or regional television will be streamed through CardsTV at GoCards.com.
The Cardinals' first appearance of the season on ESPN networks is set for Feb. 26-28 when the three-game series at Ole Miss will be televised by SEC Network+ and available through WatchESPN. On March 11-13, Louisville will host ACC foe Notre Dame with all three games slated for ESPN3. The ACC TV schedule will continue when the Cardinals visit Miami on March 18-20 with the first game of the series set for ESPN3, while the final two games against the Hurricanes will be televised by ESPNU. The March slate of televised games will conclude with a trio of home games on March 25-27 against Virginia on ESPN3.
Louisville's first seven games in April are set for ESPN networks as ESPN3 will carry the first two games of the home series against Virginia Tech on April 2-3, while the finale between the Cardinals and Hokies will be featured on ACC Monday on April 4. UofL will then take to the road for an April 6 game at Kentucky on ESPNU and a trio of games at Florida State on April 8-10 on ESPN3. On April 17, Louisville's series finale at home against Clemson will be televised by ESPN3, which will also carry the April 19 home contest against Kentucky.
All three games of Louisville's weekend visit to North Carolina on May 6-8 will be televised by ESPN3, including the second game of the series on Saturday to be broadcast through the Regional Sports Network. The Cardinals' road visit to Vanderbilt on May 10 will be televised by the SEC Network before all three games of the home series against NC State on May 13-15 are televised by ESPN3, including the Saturday contest to be broadcast through the Regional Sports Network. Each of Louisville's four games during the final week of the regular season will be televised by ESPN3 starting with the home game against Indiana on May 17 and concluding with the road series at Wake Forest on May 19-21.
The No. 2-ranked Cardinals will open the 2016 season on Friday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m., ET at Jim Patterson Stadium in the first game of a weekend series at home against SIU Edwardsville.
