U of L may have lost Rodjay Burns to one of college football's blueblood programs, but quarterback Jawon Pass says his commitment to playing for the Cardinals is still firm despite being courted by the sport's current national champions.
Columbus, Ga., Carver High School quarterback Jawon Pass told Cardinal Authority that he was "still solid" with his commitment to Louisville even after a visit to reigning national champion Alabama this weekend.
Pass and his mother, Kershena Thomas, spent the weekend in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
"Alabama was straight," Pass said. "But I'm still solid with Louisville. That's where I want to be."
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Pass - who is the No. 192 ranked player in the Scout300 - said he was "honored" to get the invitation to check out the Alabama campus but knew it wasn't going to change anything.
"They invited me, so I figured I might as well go check it out," Pass said.
But as Thomas said, "there was no hint from him that anything was going to change. He's going to sign with Louisville."
Pass' mother also said that Jawon is looking forward both helping Lamar Jackson and watching and learning from him.
