The 24th-ranked U of L men's soccer team played No. 22 NC State to a 1-1 draw last night at Lynn Stadium. The Cards now own the odd-looking ACC record of 0-0-3.
The team wore these kits though, which should have been used as the tiebreaker:

It was a better night for Louisville volleyball, which opened ACC play with a road sweep of Notre Dame. Erin Fairs had 17 kills, an ace and two blocks to lead the team to a decisive 25-23, 25-19, 25-16 win.

Cardinal folks say today is the day the 2015 turnaround begins.
Hatcher's Air Raid style is known for its emphasis on passing and up-tempo play, but the Bulldogs have been fairly balanced while also running for 182.3 yards per game. That's an area where the Cards have struggled. U of L, which had the nation's No. 10 run defense last year, has taken a step back in allowing 206 rushing yards per game this season.
A game against an FCS opponent would presumably present Louisville its best chance so far to dominate the line of scrimmage and stop the run at a level resembling 2014. The Cards had preseason aspirations of being the best run defense in the ACC, but after three games, they're No. 12 in the 14-team league.
"We've got to continue to knock guys back," defensive tackle DeAngelo Brown said. "I feel like we still can reach those goals. We've got nine games left in the regular season, so we've got plenty of games left to rectify ourselves and get back to reaching our goals."
