A preseason All-ACC selection, Rankins thrived in coordinator Todd Grantham's 3-4 scheme last year, racking up eight sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss -- both of which rank among the best of returning ACC defenders. He also helped Louisville's defense rank in the top 10 nationally in rushing defense, yards-per-carry and rushing touchdowns allowed.
Brandon Radcliff also gets an honorable mention nod.
According to the folks at Scout.com, five-star guard Markelle Fultz will be taking an official visit to Louisville on Wednesday. This will be Fultz's first official visit anywhere.
