Louisville will begin the 2015 college football season without a national ranking, as the Cards landed outside the top 25 in the preseason poll released by the Associated Press on Sunday.
In the first half of their season, U of L will face three teams ranked in the to 12 -- Auburn (6), Florida State (10) and Clemson (12). ACC Coastal Division favorite Georgia Tech also appears in the rankings at No. 16.
For the first time in the poll's lengthy history, the AP unanimously selected a No. 1 team (Ohio State). The defending national champs are joined in the top five by TCU, Alabama, Baylor and Michigan State.
