Thoughts: Klusman saw game action in all 13 contests last season on special teams and also made a couple of appearances on the line against Murray State and in the bowl game against Georgia. Unless something happens with the redshirt freshman or one of the true freshmen coming into the program this fall, I think Klusman has a pretty firm spot backing up Hughley at center. From the limited time we’ve seen him at the position he seemed to perform adequately. Obviously the center is relied on heavily to direct the line, identify the defensive alignments, etc but I won’t pretend to know all the minor things to look for when evaluating the center position. I do know there is a certain bond each has with the quarterback. Cadence, hand placement and communication in the pocket may appear small but can become a big deal if they aren’t in sync. While Hughley and Klusman appear to be the men of the hour right now I’m looking forward to see what new blood they start to mold to take over the position in two years. We’ve had some quality players at the position in years past, including Card Chronicle favorite Eric Wood, so these guys will have some big shoes to fill.

Solid take. Kind of the "ying" to Tyson's "yang"…
