Thoughts: Scheler is a walk-on for the Cardinal program who played center at St. X last year. Scheler, in my opinion, is slightly undersized for consistent play in the ACC, but we can always use some experience at the center position. I know last year Jake Smith and Hughley both had their names thrown around in the spring and fall at that spot with Hughley ultimately grabbing the majority of the starts. Hughley is a Junior this season so grooming a backup center should be pretty high on the list for Petrino and Klenakis. My guess in 2015 would be TC Klusman, but he’s the same class as Hughley so expect one of the RS Freshman or true Freshman to start learning the ropes. (Yes, I just had a mini-breakdown of the 2017 center position. Don’t judge me). Even though we've covered a few true freshman already in the countdown I wanted to take a second to wish them all good luck at UofL and of course, welcome to the Cardinal fam.
