Thoughts: Kevin battled back from an injury his Freshman season (after battling back from an ACL injury his senior year of high school) to perform well on special teams and the handful of opportunities he got at corner last year. Houchins played in eight games and actually grabbed six tackles in his limited playing time during those contests. Houchins played okay in the spring game in April, getting four tackles and assigned the challenge of covering Quick for a decent segment of that game. I’m not sure if Kevin will crack the two deep at corner or at safety for that matter but I think he could provide some decent filler for the Cards, similar to 2014, when we need him both in the secondary and on special teams. All accounts point to Kevin as a great kid and it sucks to see anyone have to battle multiple injuries in just a few short years. I’ve seen a lot of people start to resort to Craigslist for new cars here recently which is somewhat surprising to me. I would typically never do this but lots of folks are getting good deals by “cutting out the middleman” at the dealership. So, I head over there to check it out for Mr. Houchins and wouldn’t you know…they got a little something for everyone.
