A little light on both news and notes this afternoon, but it's Friday, so we grab a beverage and soldier on.

I_medium After landing five big commitments in eight days, Louisville football has moved all the way up to No. 18 in Rivals' team recruiting rankings for the 2016 class.

I_medium Former U of L star and current Western Kentucky head coach Jeff Brohm will throw out the first pitch at the Louisville Bats game on Monday.
