#47 Kevon Dunbar
Class: Freshman
Ht/Wt: 6-1/192
Position: Defensive back
Hometown: Louisville, KY (Product of Central High School)
Twitter: N/A
Thoughts: Did a decent amount of digging on Kevon and couldn’t come up with much. There was a 2011 Central High graduate named Kevon Dunbar but that would obviously not make him a Freshman, and I can’t speak intelligently about whether or not his class was a typo on the official roster or if it’s not the same player. If it is the 2011 Kevon it appears he has some speed (track athlete) and was talented enough to land on a few All-District squads back in his days with the Yellow Jackets. Good luck moving forward.
Sweet Tweet: No tweets for Kevon that I could find, but if he truly graduated back in 2011 I’m sure his MySpace page was on point at one time. His profile background was tight, he had a bumpin’ playlist, and only the best shorties appeared in his Top 10. Those were the days.
#47 Jon Brown
Class: Sophomore
Ht/Wt: 5-10/202
Position: Kicker
Hometown: Clinton, MS
Twitter: @John_Brown10
Thoughts: Although John Wallace is the more known of the two, Jon Brown actually performed well last season when given an opportunity on kickoffs. I wouldn’t expect the Lou Groza award candidate Wallace to lose his gig anytime soon but Brown actually had a longer kick off average (albeit 62.8 compared to 62.6) and four touchbacks in only nine attempts. We brought in another kicker this season so there might be some competition for the backup spot but Brown has positioned himself well to maintain the job. If Wallace struggles at any point or an injury occurs I think we're in good hands.
Sweet Tweet: Jon has his tweets protected so I can’t post anything from him here, but feel free to shoot him a follow request and compliment him on his sparkling white teeth. Dude’s pearly whites are no joke.
