Thoughts: Let me peel back the curtain for a moment on the countdown and come clean to say that I really didn’t know much about Joe Bradford, actually not anything at all, heading into this post. As of now though…I still know very little. Not much out on the interwebs for Joe in the form of scouting sites, articles, pictures, basically anything relating him to the university or to the game of football for that matter. If I told you this and then you were forced to guess what position this mystery man plays of course it would be, long snapper. (A weird bunch, this group). I did determine that Austin Lathrop is a High School in Fairbanks, AL so that’s something I guess. This year, Colin Holba (Day 84) should be our long snapper, taking over for the talented Grant Donovan who graduated last season. Best of luck to Joe this year and throughout his career at UofL.

Sweet Tweet: No twitter for Joe that I could find so I’ll use this opportunity to fill you in on some personal happenings in my life. Obviously you should just blindly trust my sports knowledge, but in case you lacked faith in my foresight or season prognostications I figured I’d let everyone know I was contacted by Sports Illustrated yesterday. A few of the higher ups have apparently laid eyes on my work here at CC and went so far as to offer me a contract. I mean, you put in the hours, the research, the dedication and eventually it all pays off. There are still a few hoops to jump through, but they already offered me my favorite NFL team jacket, an SI pullover, even a Duke National Championship basketball, which admittedly was a bit odd, and all they want from me in return is an annual subscription. Seems like a no brainer. So, baring something crazy today may be the last day of the countdown for awhile. Don’t worry Cloids, I won’t forget where I came from.
