Louisville got a 4-for-5 performance at the plate from Danny Rosenbaum, the first home run of Logan Taylor's collegiate career, and a masterful pitching performance from Brendan McKay to hammer Cal State Fullerton 9-3 and even the best of 3 Super Regional series at one game apiece.
After jumping out to a 2-1 lead early in the game, U of L busted things wide open in the visitor's half of the 6th. Rosenbaum led off with a double and was singled in by Devin Hairston one batter later. That set the stage for Taylor, who hammered a pitch over the wall in left center for his first career bomb. Corey Ray pushed the lead to 6-1 with an RBI double.
Winning pitcher Brendan McKay pitched into the 8th inning, allowing just eight hits and two runs.
Now it all comes down to Monday, when the Cards and Titans will meet at 7 p.m. Winner goes to Omaha, loser starts its offseason.
