Louisville Football Recruiting: Florida Receiver Terence Williams Commits

Louisville received its 13th commitment for the class of 2016 today when Riverview, FL receiver Terence Williams committed to Bobby Petrino and the Cardinals.

Terence Williams, an athlete from Riverview, FL, became Bobby Petrino and Louisville's thirteenth commitment for the 2016 class today. Williams (6'1, 185), is rated a composite three-star prospect in 247Sports' rating system. He's listed at the #179 player in the state of Florida and the #87 athlete nationally. Williams is listed as an athlete and his Hudl video below shows him playing both safety and receiver. Scout.com and Rivals.com both list him as a receiver.

Williams has excellent hands (check the highlight of the catch over two defenders at the 1:26 mark on the video below). His video also shows he has a bit of a mean streak in him as well, both as a blocker in space and as a hitter/tackler. You can never have enough of those type of guys on a football team. Williams chose Louisville over listed offers from Colorado, North Carolina, NC State, Duke, Wake Forest and Central Florida.

Williams' commitment is encouraging for two reasons. First, I mean, hello, his name is Terence Williams. He'll already be a fan favorite by the time he arrives. Second, he's Louisville's first commitment for 2016 from the state of Florida. Keeping that pipeline open was big for the 2015 class and will be so for the future of Louisville football.
