Thoughts: Chandler was a early commit for the Cards back in June of last year and UofL had actually been on him heavily since way before then. Jones got an official offer on his Junior Day visit to Louisville but at that time his classmate, senior Henry Famurewa, already had his ear about the Louisville program and was campaigning Chandler to come along with him the next year. Steve Jones at the C-J had a good piece about Jones and I especially enjoyed this excerpt…

Jones said he and Famurewa are good friends and that every time Famurewa passes him in the hall at school, he throws his "L" up at him.

"I really started being a fan of Louisville after Henry committed," Jones said. "He was telling me about the school, about the atmosphere, that they're a good team, a good program. I started watching them on TV. I was impressed with their players. They have really outstanding players."

Chandler has a good game along with good size and skill but I’d be surprised to see him get a ton of reps as a true freshman. Jones played guard in high school and will probably stay there unless depth stacks up at the position, where he may then shift out to the tackle. I’d look for Chandler and true freshman Christian, who we covered back on Day 74, to battle Lacy for PT in the fall. The 3rd place finisher in that spot may be a redshirt candidate moving forward.

Sweet Tweet:

Interesting fact about me, I have not stepped foot inside a barber shop since I was probably 6 or 7 years old. Around that time my mom started trimming us up (very simple fade) and around 17 or 18 I started cutting it myself. Sure, there were some minor incidents early on, a little blood was shed, some jacked up neck lines, etc but fifteen years later I still knock it out myself, and to be honest, I’ve pretty much mastered it at this point. Give me about 10-15 minutes and it’s all wrapped up.

If you’re up for the challenge I’d strongly recommend it. I’ve probably saved thousands of dollars over that fifteen year span, I never have to wait in line, I can do it whenever I want to (i.e. 11:30pm on a Tuesday night if need be) and I get to avoid the awkward barber convo while he’s pumping his hot breath on my face. I get that not everyone can pull it off but it has come in fairly handy over time…now if my dog would just hold still long enough.

Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend. With no one on the roster wearing #70 or #69 will be back on Monday highlighting #68 Danny Burns.
