Terry Rozier is headed to Boston after being selected by the Celtics with the 16th pick of the 2015 NBA Draft. Rozier becomes the earliest NBA Draft selection from Louisville since Terrence Williams was selected 11th overall in 2009.
Rozier led Louisville in scoring and steals last season, averaging 17.1 points per game and 2.0 steals. He also ranked second on the team in both rebounds (5.6 rpg) and assists (3.0 apg). A second team All-ACC selection, Rozier ranked third in the conference in scoring in league play. He also hit double figures in all but three of Louisville's 36 games.
Measuring in at 6'2 with a 6'8.25 wingspan at the NBA Draft Combine, Rozier has good length and size for a point guard, the position he's expected to play at the next level. He also has the potential to make a name for himself as a defensive stopper, another area where his length and bounce figures to help him immensely.
Major congrats to Terry on taking the next step in his career, and best of luck to him in Boston.
