Rick Pitino mentioned multiple times during the 2014-15 season that his team's chemistry was "different" than it had been in year's past. According to Pitino, the six freshmen kind of kept to themselves while the veterans did the same and weren't especially willing to include the new guys.
The dynamic definitely was not lost on Chinanu Onuaku, who talked about that after being named as a member of the USA U-19 World Championship team on Wednesday.
A little bit surprising to hear it discussed so openly, but not all that surprising to hear that it was an issue. A tip of the cap to this year's guys for going ahead and nipping that in the bud right off the bad.
