Report: Louisville to play neutral site game against Saint Louis over Thanksgiving weekend

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The details for Louisville's 2015-16 college basketball schedule continue to come together with the latest piece being a reported game against Saint Louis at the Barclays Center over Thanksgiving weekend.

Saint Louis went 11-21 last season and won just three games in Atlantic 10 play, missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011.

Head coach Jim Crews, who was forced into the gig after Rick Majerus was saddled with the health issues that ultimately took his life, loaded up an impressive first recruiting class -- affectionately dubbed the "Billikids" -- but that group took its lumps in 2014-15. Losing stars  Dwayne Evans and Jordair Jett from the 2014-15 squad that Louisville took down in the 2014 NCAA Tournament round of 32 didn't help matters either.

SLU has a likely all-conference player in sophomore Milik Yarbrough -- who led the team in scoring as a freshman -- and some solid pieces around him, but the Billikens are still probably a year away from having a chance to get back to the national relevance they knew under Majerus. Still, their name still carries some solid cachet, which makes SLU a solid opponent for a holiday weekend tilt in Brooklyn.
