Wide receiver recruiting isn't turning out to be an issue for Bobby Petrino in his second stint as Louisville head coach. After getting a commitment from Seth Dawkins earlier today, Louisville got its second receiver commitment of the day from California three-star prospect Chris Taylor-Yamanoha. Taylor-Yamanoha is a composite three-star prospect according to 247Sports. They rate him as an "athlete" and list him as the #36 athlete in California and the #59 prospect in the state overall.
Taylor-Yamanoha continues the trend of Louisville pursuing tall, strong receivers. As we mentioned in the post on the commitment of Seth Dawkins, every Petrino receiver signee or commitment except Traveon Samuel has been over six feet tall. In his highlights Taylor-Yamanoha plays safety, receiver, and excels as a punt and kickoff return man. He catches the ball with his hands and not his body while showing the ability to generate plenty of yards after the catch, something missing from the Louisville receiver group in 2014 outside of DeVante Parker.
Taylor-Yamanoha listed offers from Arizona, California, Boise State, Washington State, Colorado, and Oregon State among others. He is Louisville's tenth commitment for the class of 2016.
