The top-seeded Louisville baseball team will begin its 2015 ACC Tournament run against No. 8 seed North Carolina on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Tar Heels defeated No. 9 seed Virginia Tech 5-3 on Tuesday to advance into the main draw of the tournament.
The Cardinals (42-14, 25-5) did not face UNC (33-22, 13-16) during the regular season. U of L will send freshman righthander Sean Leland to the bump to try and begin the postseason with a victory.
North Carolina has won the ACC Tournament six times, more than any program in the conference outside of Clemson and Georgia Tech, which have each won it nine times. The Heels last hoisted the trophy in 2013.
