Despite being the better seed, Louisville will be an underdog when it takes the court against Michigan State in the Elite 8 on Sunday afternoon. Tom Izzo's Spartans are currently a 2.5-point favorite at just about every sports book on the planet, and are predicted to win a 65-64 game by Ken Pomeroy.
This will be the second time this tournament that Louisville hasn't been favored to win a game. The Cards were also2.5-point dogs in their round of 32 game against Northern Iowa. Entering this year's big dance, U of L had not been an underdog in the NCAA Tournament since squaring off against No. 1 overall seed Kentucky in the 2012 Final Four.
This will be the seventh time this season that the Cards will go into a game as an underdog. Louisville is 2-4 in those games so far, with their most recent experience being the previously mentioned win over Northern Iowa.
