Louisville Is An 8.5-Point Underdog At Virginia

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

When Louisville takes the floor against Virginia inside John Paul Jones Arena Saturday night, it will be doing so as a bigger underdog than it's been in nearly three years.

Vegas pegged the Cavaliers as 7.5-point favorites over U of L on Friday, a line which quickly moved to UVA -8.5. Ken Pomeroy, in case you were wondering, currently has the Hoos winning the top 10 showdown by 9 points.

For a program that had not been an underdog in nearly 21 months before its Dec. 27 game against Kentucky, this is still a new deal.  The last time the Cards were bigger dogs in a game? The 2012 Final Four meeting with Kentucky, which the Wildcats were favored to win by 9.
