After a stormy Friday evening for his program, U of L athletic director Tom Jurich has elected to skip Saturday's football game against North Carolina State so that he can fly home and personally meet with the Louisville basketball recruits currently on campus. Jurich arrived in Raleigh this afternoon and will fly back to Louisville Saturday morning at 10.

This is arguably the biggest recruiting weekend of the current cycle thus far for Louisville, which is playing host to top 2016 targets T.J. Leaf and Andrew Jones. The Cardinals will also be holding the first of their two Red-White scrimmages Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

In his media press conference on Friday, Rick Pitino addressed the situation.

"We have recruits on campus right now," Pitino said. "How am I supposed to look these kids in the eyes when I know they're going to read this?"

Though Jurich has always placed a significant level of importance on the Cardinal football program, he also realizes that this is a situation in which the players and parents want to hear from the man at the top. He plans on speaking personally with both recruits and their parents about the situation and how strongly he feels about the facts that will eventually be brought to light.
