UMKC has announced that former Louisville director of operations Andre McGee has been placed on administrative leave in the wake of Friday's news. McGee was about to begin his second season as an assistant coach under Kareem Richardson, who had previously been an assistant for Rick Pitino at U of L.
Here's the statement from UMKC:
"The University of Missouri-Kansas City is aware of today's reports alleging wrongdoing by a current UMKC employee while he worked at another institution. UMKC is taking the allegations seriously and we have already initiated our own review of the matter. While we are conducting that review, Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Andre McGee will be on administrative leave with pay, effective immediately."
McGee's lawyer, Scott Cox, spoke with media Friday night and was extremely candid regarding his thoughts on his client's case.

Cox, you might remember, represented Chris Jones earlier this year.
By the way, Louisville will host UMKC on Dec. 22 at the KFC Yum Center.
