Teddy Bridgewater has been named the winner of the Pepsi Rookie of the Year Award, which is based solely on fan voting at NFL.com. Bridgewater will be honored during a ceremony at the Super Bowl on Friday night.
Other candidates for award were New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans, Cincinnati running back Jeremy Hill and Buffalo wide receiver Sammy Watkins.
Bridgewater tied or broke 91 rookie records for the Vikings in 2014, a season which saw him complete 259 of 402 passes for 2,919 yards, and go 6-6 as a starter.
The Associated Press later also will release a Rookie of the Year winner not based on fan voting.
