Antonio Blakeney Has Reopened His Recruitment

Streeter Lecka

Just 11 days after committing to Louisville and saying "I knew I was going there for two months," five-star guard Antonio Blakeney has decommitted. The news was first reported by Reggie Rankin of ESPN.com.

Blakeney confirmed the report (indirectly) himself on Twitter.

Rick Pitino had been scheduled to pay Blakeney a visit on Wednesday, but that trip has been canceled.

Blakeney, who is currently rated as the No. 15 overall player in the class of 2015 by 247 Sports, has been one of Pitino's top targets for more than a year. He averaged 25.2 points, five rebounds and 3.6 assists last season as a junior at Oak Ridge High School, and then spent the summer starring on the AAU circuit.

"I feel like it's the best situation for me," Blakeney said when he committed on Sept. 4. "I know coach P can help me reach my full potential. He didn't miss any of my games in July. He didn't miss one. That was a big thing right there."

Even if his courtship with Louisville is over (and I think it is), I would wager a significant amount of money on Antonio Blakeney still playing his college basketball in the state of Kentucky.

Recruiting is creepy.
