One week before taking on their most infamous in-state foe, the Louisville basketball team will travel to Bowling Green to face another.
Western Kentucky released its preliminary 2014-15 men's basketball schedule on Wednesday, an announcement which revealed that U of L's upcoming trip to E.A. Diddle Arena will take place on Saturday, Dec. 20.
Louisville and WKU are in the middle of a four-year contract which guarantees two games at the KFC Yum Center, one in Nashville and one at Diddle. The contract will end when the two play in Louisville next season.
Western Kentucky still leads the all-time series against the Cards, 39-38, but U of L has won four straight against the Tops, including a a 78-55 triumph in Nashville last season. The Hilltoppers hold a 16-9 advantage in games played in Bowling Green, a place where Louisville last played in Dec., 2010. It went pretty well for the visitors.
The tip time and television coverage for this year's game are both still to be decided.
