Louisville picked up a recruiting victory over a future ACC foe (and permanent cross-divisional opponent) Virginia Thursday night as Lilburn, GA tight end and defensive lineman G.G. Robinson announced via Twitter that he has committed to the Cardinals. Virginia and coach Mike London were recruiting Robinson to play tight end while Louisville has recruited him exclusively to play defensive line in Todd Grantham's 3-4 base defense.

Robinson (6'4, 260) is a consensus three-star recruit according to all of the major recruiting services. In addition to Louisville and Virginia, Robinson lists offers from Iowa State, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, and Kansas State. Robinson is now the fifth commitment in the class of 2015 from the state of Georgia. This class clearly bearing the mark of Todd Grantham's influence in that state. Robinson is Louisville's 13th verbal commitment for next year's class.
