More hoops scheduling news: Louisville's ACC/Big Ten Challenge game vs. Ohio State is set for Dec. 2 in the KFC Yum Center at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN. That's an awfully late tip for a Tuesday night, but some great news for the establishments surrounding the Yum Center that serve alcohol.
Will Gardner is one of the 25 most intriguing quarterbacks in college football this season.
25. Will Gardner, Louisville. He's not Teddy Bridgewater, but people around the Cardinals program are quietly giddy about Gardner's potential. Especially with Bobby Petrino designing the offense and tutoring the quarterback, and a flush receiving corps. If Petrino could turn average-armed, undersized Stefan LeFors into the nation's most efficient QB in 2004, what can he do with a 6-5 specimen like Gardner?
DeVante Parker is a second team preseason All-American according to The Sporting News.
Louisville's deep stable of running backs is going to be key when it comes to the Cards making a smooth transition into the ACC.

Dominique Brown spoke with the media following Tuesday's practice.
"We all just worried about being physical," Brown said. "We know we are going to run the ball in Petrino's system. When our number gets called, we just have to make plays and make big plays."
Entering the second week of practices, everyone is sharing the load. That might not be the case when the season starts, but no one is worried how that is going to play out right now.
"We really don't know, especially with the Petrino system," he said. "He likes all of us. He's gives all an equal amount of shares ... it's going to be his decision if he wants one guy to emerge.
"Especially with the guys that we have, anybody could go out there pretty much and play and we won't miss a beat. It's great to have that versatility in the room. That's why I think we're good as a room collectively. Everybody brings something to the table."
The Norfolk Tides have zero understanding of the evil they are bringing upon themselves.
The official "BLACCOUT" (no comment) shirt is now available at Cardinal Authentic.

BC Interruption says now that the conferences have the ability to play by their own set of rules, you may eventually see changes to the way in which the power 5 conferences determine a champion in football.
Multiple members of the CBS Sports college football team believe Louisville is the most overrated squad in the ACC.
Most overrated team: Louisville. As good as Bobby Petrino is, Charlie Strong left the Cardinals at just the right time. There's lots of work to be done here.
Most overrated team: Louisville. The Cards are in a year of transition with a new league, new coach (also an old coach) and new quarterback. Look for some struggles with all the changes.
Most overrated team: Louisville. This was tough because it's hard to call any team in the ACC overrated. They're all rated pretty accurately. But I just see that Louisville is finished to pick third in the Atlantic, and I'm not sure that's going to happen. Combine the move to the ACC, the loss of Teddy Bridgewater and the change from Charlie Strong's idea of offense to Bobby Petrino's, and I see a lot of potential pratfalls for the Cardinals in 2014. They'll go bowling, but if they do finish third in the division, they'll be a significant gap between them and second place.
Louisville's games against Miami and Florida State both received some love in the "most intriguing conference game" category.
And finally, ESPN's ACC blog has the Cards at No. 5 in their first ACC power poll.
