Miami LB On Louisville: 'I'm 0-1 Against Those Guys, I Ain't Going 0-2'

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

Things haven't been very cordial the last three times Louisville and Miami have met on the gridiron, both during the games and in the days and weeks leading up to them.

It doesn't sound like that trend is going to change when the pair open the 2014 season against one another on Sept. 1.

The Hurricanes didn't have much talking to do after their last tilt against the Cards, a 36-9 U of L victory in last December's Russell Athletic Bowl. Linebacker Denzel Perryman, who had four tackles in that game, says that memory -- and a desire to change it -- have fueled him this summer.

"Nobody likes to be embarrassed," Perryman said during Sunday's ACC Kickoff. "Just to start with them is going to be good. It's going to be great. It's a rematch. I'm 0-1 against those guys, I ain't going 0-2."

It's not exactly Kyle Wright calling Nate Harris a Miami reject on "The Dan Le Batard Show," but it's a start. These are going to be a long six weeks.
