#65 David Noltemeyer
Class: RS Senior
Position: Offensive Line
Hometown: Louisville, KY (Product of St. X High School)
Thoughts: Some of you may remember that out of St. X David was a little out of touch with reality and was sent off to a prison camp (also known as UK Football) for a year. After 12 months of pain and anguish Noltemeyer finally said I can’t go for that anymore, and joined the good guys becoming a Cardinal for life. Unfortunately for David, every time you go away it takes a little while to get back in the grove and his services have not been needed at UofL…for three seasons. Noltemeyer has yet to see the field during his time at UofL mostly because the senior group of offensive lineman have each locked into their respective spots and remained a relatively healthy ‘maneater’ up front for all three seasons they've played. David, like the other non-starters and walk-ons still puts in the work and I’m proud to have him back home and a member of the team. You never know when you might get called on and I’m sure he’ll be ready if needed. Hopefully if nothing else he’s gained some life experience during college and found himself a rich girl to settle down with, maybe even become a family man when his playing career is over.
Damn you know that you have been working on a paper for a long time when pandora has the "are you still listening" ad pop up. SMH— David Noltemeyer (@Nolte65) April 29, 2013
I usually have Pandora on in the background while I work so I have to deal with this same scenario almost daily. Why yes Pandora, I am still listening, and I would appreciate it greatly if you would not interrupt my Hall & Oates channel for your silly messages. How can a man enjoy the beautiful medleys of ‘Private Eyes’ and ‘You Make My Dreams Come True’ if you KEEP DISRUPTING ME!?! Thanks for the free music though. [daps computer screen]
Well, because this is day 65 of a very long countdown and I’m typing about my 8th offensive lineman in a row, I went ahead and snuck in six Hall & Oates song titles into the player description above. Seriously. I did. Can you catch them all?
(P.S. I was going to do this same thing for DMX to pay homage to the site and his magical assistance during the football season, but surprisingly it’s pretty challenging to sneak ‘What These Bitches Want’ and ‘X Gonna Give It To Ya’ into normal conversation. Maybe next year)
