Louisville Softball's NCAA Tournament Opener To Air On ESPN

The U of L softball team will begin NCAA Tournament play Friday night in Tucson, and the rest of the sports world will be able to watch their efforts live on ESPN.

The Cards are taking on perennial power LSU at 8:30 p.m. in a game that was originally supposed to be broadcast only on ESPN3.com, but the early ending of two NBA Playoff series allowed the worldwide leader to pick up the contest.

ESPN's Adam Amin will be the play-by-play announcer, while former Texas A&M All-American Amanda Scarborough will serve as the analyst.

Here's the full schedule for this weekend's regional, hosted by No. 11 overall seed Arizona:

Despite the remarkable success the program has achieved over the past decade, Louisville has still never advanced to super regional play in the NCAA Tournament.
