After plenty of speculation last week that Chane Behanan would not be making it to Colorado State as originally planned, the former Cardinal officially declared himself eligible for the NBA Draft on Monday.
I have thought and weighed my options for the upcoming year & I have decided that it is in my best interest to enter the NBA draft for 2014.

I want to thank my family, friends, UofL staff, CSU staff, and everyone involved in this process and that has supported me along my journey.

This has been a difficult road for me, but I have not lost faith and confidence in myself, I will continue to work hard and grow as a person

The odds of Behanan hearing his name called on draft night are extremely slim, but I still think this is probably the best move for Chane, especially in light of his most recent citation. He's going to have the chance to play professionally somewhere, and hopefully he'll have the good sense to surround himself with people who will give him proper advice on what to do with that money.
So in the span of about six months, Chane has gone from kicked off the team, to indefinitely suspended, to back on the team, to kicked off the team for good, to Houston, to committed to Colorado State and now to eligible for the NBA Draft. That's quite a run. Here's hoping the best for him.
