On the heels of their enormous weekend sweep of No. 7 Houston, the Louisville baseball team has cracked the top 10 of just about every one of the 5,000 polls that exist for college baseball, including USA Today (9), Baseball News (9) and Baseball America (10).
The Cards also made an enormous leap in the latest power poll from ESPN, jumping from No. 14 all the way up to No. 6.

Of note: Not sure anyone saw a three-game sweep at Houston for the Cards, but here we are. Now, another tough roadie looms as a showdown at American leader Central Florida starts Thursday.
U of L hopes to keep that momentum rolling Tuesday night when they host rival Kentucky inside Jim Patterson Stadium at 6 p.m.. Mid-week games are typically pretty misleading in the world of college baseball (neither team is throwing one of their three best starters), but the emotion that comes with this rivalry game, as well as the potential to pick up a solid RPI win, makes this evening's tilt fairly significant.
If you can't make it out to The Patt tonight, the game will be televised live locally on WHAS-TV 11.2. If you can, free parking will be available in the Papa John's Cardinal Stadium Green Lot south of Central Ave. Shuttles will run from 4 p.m. through the end of the game from the lot to the Stadium. Also, all fans are asked to wear red to the game.
