U of L officials have confirmed that Kevin Ware will transfer from Louisville and play his remaining two seasons (assuming he's granted a medical redshirt) elsewhere.
"We wish Kevin godspeed," Rick Pitino told The Courier-Journal.
Ware, who just tweeted that he was "never leaving this place" on Tuesday, told ESPN.com that he'd like to transfer somewhere closer to his home of Georgia.
Auburn seems like a very possible destination for Ware, who originally committed to play for new Tiger coach Bruce Pearl when Pearl was at Tennessee.
