One of the most coveted members of Louisville's 2014 recruiting class is officially a Cardinal, as U of L has received the faxed letter of intent from Hialeah (Fla) safety Michael Johnson.
Johnson, who verbaled to Louisville back on March 1, 2013, was the second player in the class of 2014 to commit to Louisville, just behind Trinity quarterback Reggie Bonnafon. Despite receiving offers from the likes of LSU and Nebraska, Johnson kept true to his word.
Johnson, who also played wide receiver in high school, is rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN.com. He finished the 2012 season with 82 tackles, seven forced fumbles, six pass break-ups and one interception.
